The Amur Leopard
The Amur Leopard is the rarest cat in the world! Not many people have ever heard of the Amur Leoapard before. Amur Leopards are solitary and nocturnal. They live in the Amur Leopard River basin of eastern Russia.

Survival Status
Amur Leopards are critically endangerd and need help. There are currently only 57 leopards left in the world. They are critically endangerd because people want their beautiful spotted fur. People also kill them for a traditional Chinese medicine.
Conservation
Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA) conservation programs include anti-poaching, fire-control of forests, public awareness through education, and biomedical research. There is an anti-poaching team which still exists today.
